What is Nebula. Images of some nebula by Hubble

A nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. Some nebulae (more than one nebula) come from the gas and dust thrown out by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova. Other nebulae are regions where new stars are beginning to form. For this reason, some nebulae are called "star nurseries." How do stars form in a nebula? Nebulae are made of dust and gases—mostly hydrogen and helium. The dust and gases in a nebula are very spread out, but gravity can slowly begin to pull together clumps of dust and gas. As these clumps get bigger and bigger, their gravity gets stronger and stronger. Eventually, the clump of dust and gas gets so big that it collapses from its own gravity. The collapse causes the material at the center of the cloud to heat up-and this hot core is the beginning of a star. Some of the most amazing nebula pictured by Hubble in Milky Way Galaxy The Eagle Nebula’s Pillars of Creation (M 16, Messier 16) The dust and gas in the pi...

RADARS DETECTS WATER ON MARS SOUTH POLAR REGION

ESA’s (European Space Agency) Mars space craft points to a pond of liquid water buried under layers of ice and dust in the south polar region of Mars. Evidence for the Red Planet’s watery past is prevalent across its surface in the form of vast dried-out river valley networks and gigantic outflow channels clearly imaged by orbiting spacecraft. Orbiters, together with landers and rovers exploring the martian surface, also discovered minerals that can only form in the presence of liquid water.           (  Download Powerpoint ) The presence of liquid water at the base of the martian polar caps has long been suspected but not observed. Scientists surveyed the Planum Australe region  (the blach spot on image A) using the MARSIS (Mars Advanced Radar for Subsurface and Ionosphere Sounding) instrument, a low-frequency radar on the Mars Express spacecraft...

Collision of galaxies, images taken by hubble

The interaction between galaxies is an on going process in universe. However the merging of big galaxies with each other on average once over the past 9 billion years. But Small galaxies were coalescing with large galaxies more frequently. In fact, our own Milky Way galaxy had several such mergers with small galaxies in its recent past. In the combination of galaxies there is no collision of stars with eath other, it is the dust and other material which collapse and billions of stars are born, mostly in groups and clusters of stars. Some of the images of colliding galaxies taken by hubble This is image of a pair of interacting galaxies called Arp 273. The distorted shape of the larger of the two galaxies shows signs of tidal interactions with the smaller of the two. It is thought that the smaller galaxy has actually passed through the larger one. This nearly 300 million light years away from earth. And a part of Constellation "Andromeda" Hubble has captured a...

With 12 new discovered moons Jupiter now has 79 moons

Jupiter, the fifth planet from our Sun and the largest planet in the solar system – more than twice as massive as all the other planets combined, has 79 moons including 12 new discovered moons. On Jul. 17, 2018, scientists announced they had discovered 12 new moons orbiting Jupiter. That raised Jupiter’s total number of moons to 79—the most of any planet in the solar system. Fifty-three of the moons are confirmed and named; the other 26 are awaiting official confirmation of discovery before they are named. Jupiter's four largest moons—Io, Europa, Ganymede and Callisto—were first observed by the astronomer Galileo Galilei in 1610 using an early version of the telescope. These four moons are known today as the Galilean satellites, and they're some of the most fascinating destinations in our solar system.  Io is the most volcanically active body in the solar system. Ganymede is the largest moon in the solar system (even bigger than the planet Mercury). Calli...

Spiral Galaxy Images taken by Hubble Telescope

This is the Andromeda galaxy — otherwise known as M31. This is the neighbouring galaxy of Milky way galaxy (our own galaxy). This is nearly 2 million light years away from earth. This is a NGC 7640 i. e. barred spiral type galaxy. These are recognisable by their spiral arms, which fan out not from a circular core, but from an elongated bar cutting through the galaxy’s centre. This is the part of Andromeda constellation. This is the image of the beautiful barred spiral galaxy NGC 1300.  NGC 1300 is considered to be prototypical of barred spiral galaxies. Barred spirals differ from normal spiral galaxies in that the arms of the galaxy do not spiral all the way into the center, but are connected to the two ends of a straight bar of stars containing the nucleus at its center. This 60 million light years away from the earth and belong to the Eridanus Constellation. This is spiral galaxy Messier 77 — a galaxy in the constellation of Cetus, some 45 million light-y...

ISRO Successful test the High Thrust Vikas Engine

ISRO, the space agency which was created history by successfully launching satellite to mars in his first attempt, is now working on Astronaut space mission. On July 15, ISRO moves a step ahead by successful test of high thrust version of Vikas Engine. This Engine was successfully qualified through a ground test for a duration of 195 seconds at ISRO Propulsion Complex (IPRC), Mahendragiri, Tamilnadu. Vikas Engine is the workhorse liquid rocket engine powering the second stage of India’s Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV), second stage and the four strap on stages of Geosynchronous Launch Vehicle (GSLV) and the twin engine core liquid stage (L110) of GSLV Mk-III. All the propulsion parameters during the tests were found satisfactory and closely matched the predictions. SOUND OBSERVED FROM SATURN MOVING TO ENCELADUS BY CASSINI

2 Sep 2017 the day when Cassini ( spacecraft launched to study saturn and its moon)  heard something from Saturn moving to its moon Enceladus, its the powerful and dynamic interaction of plasma waves. The observations show for the first time that the waves travel on magnetic field lines connecting Saturn directly to Enceladus. The field lines are like an electrical circuit between the two bodies, with energy flowing back and forth. Researchers converted the recording of plasma waves into a “whooshing” audio file that we can hear -- in the same way a radio translates electromagnetic waves into music. The recording time was compressed from 16 minutes to 28.5 seconds. Much like air or water, plasma (the fourth state of matter) generates waves to carry energy. The Radio Plasma Wave Science (RPWS) instrument on board NASA’s Cassini spacecraft recorded intense plasma waves during one of its closest encounters to Saturn. Enceladus is this little generator going around Sa...

REAL SPACE PICTURES CAPCTURED BY HUBBLE TELESCOPE.

The deep space pictures, capctured by Huble telescope, which is situated in space by NASA. These "celestial fireworks" are actually the Antennae Galaxies, one of the nearest and youngest examples of a pair of colliding galaxies.  This rich & dense smattering of stars is a massive globular cluster, a gravitationally bound collection of stars that orbits the Milky Way. Studies have shown that this globular cluster, named NGC6139, is home to an aging population of stars: These interacting galaxies in Arp 274 take their relationship to an intergalactic level! The entire system resides about 400 million light-years away from Earth in the constellation Virgo. Some of the deep space pictures.

No More Need of AADHAAR Number, Thanks To Virtual Identification (VID) Which enhance AADHAAR security. ( indian report)

From the July 1st 2018 Virtual Identification (VID) system is in operation: UIDAI Virtual ID is a 16 digit number which is now used in place of AADHAR 12 digit number. This is more secure than aadhar number, because Aadhar carries all our information like bank details, phone number etc but VID carries only name, address and gender. It is a parallel number to aadhar which can be generated and regenerated anytime and anywhere within 10 sec from UIDAI Website “uidai.gov.in”. NEED OF VID When the Aadhar officially declared compulsory for every services, its security for personal data always questioned. To make it full proof there are so many steps taken by government, but they all are not enough. In this way a new step is VID. In case of Aadhar number, there is an ecosystem of many services like bank, phone number etc are created around it. Due to which it is risky to share Aadhar number and details with telecom companies and other service providers. But VID is safe to ...

Apple drops Intel for 5G chips in 2020 iPhone models

Apple has reportedly conveyed a message to Intel, saying it will not be using the chip-maker’s 5G modems for 2020 iPhone models, the media reported. As a result of the decision, Intel seems to have halted development on a modem internally known as “Sunny Peak”, but the company is reportedly now focusing on improving its product in an attempt to win Apple back for the 2022 iPhone lineup, Digital Trends reported on Thursday. Earlier reports suggested that Apple was turning to Taiwanese mobile chipset maker MediaTek (MediaTek is the world’s 4th largest global fabless semiconductor company and powers more than 1.5 billion devices a year) for its communications components and that the Cupertino, California-headquartered tech giant was looking to move away from using Intel processors altogether by 2020. Apple started using Intel components in modern iPhones as it wanted to reduce its dependence on chips from Qualcomm, with which it got entangled in a log legal battle. But n...
