SUCCESSFUL FLIGHT TESTING OF CREW ESCAPE SYSTEM - TECHNOLOGY OF ISRO (A step ahead for space race)

After the successful  launch of MOM (Mars Orbital Mission) and to become the first one to launch satellite on Mars in first trie, ISRO is now working on Astronaut mission.

Today ISRO is one of the space organizations which has done many recorded successful launches.
And now ISRO is come in the race to send men in space. On 5th July 2018 ISRO moves ahead in their mission by qualifying a Crew Escape test.

In this day ISRO carried out a major technology demonstration, the first in a series of tests to qualify a Crew Escape System, which is a critical technology relevant for human spaceflight. The Crew Escape System is an emergency escape measure designed to quickly pull the crew module along with the astronauts to a safe distance from the launch vehicle in the event of a launch abort. The first test (Pad Abort Test) demonstrated the safe recovery of the crew module in case of any exigency at the launch pad.

After a smooth countdown of 5 hours, the Crew Escape System along with the simulated crew module with a mass of 12.6 tonnes, lifted off at 07.00 AM (IST) at the opening of the launch window from its pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota. The test was over in 259 seconds, during which the Crew Escape System along with crew module soared skyward, then arced out over the Bay of Bengal and floated back to Earth under its parachutes about 2.9 km from Sriharikota.

The crew module reached an altitude of nearly 2.7 km under the power of its seven specifically designed quick acting solid motors to take away the crew module to a safe distance without exceeding the safe g-levels. Nearly 300 sensors recorded various mission performance parameters during the test flight. Three recovery boats are being exercised to retrieve the module as part of the recovery protocol.

In the space mission our priority is the safety of Astronauts and this all test is for this.

What is Nebula. Images of some nebula by Hubble

A nebula is a giant cloud of dust and gas in space. Some nebulae (more than one nebula) come from the gas and dust thrown out by the explosion of a dying star, such as a supernova. Other nebulae are regions where new stars are beginning to form. For this reason, some nebulae are called "star nurseries." How do stars form in a nebula? Nebulae are made of dust and gases—mostly hydrogen and helium. The dust and gases in a nebula are very spread out, but gravity can slowly begin to pull together clumps of dust and gas. As these clumps get bigger and bigger, their gravity gets stronger and stronger. Eventually, the clump of dust and gas gets so big that it collapses from its own gravity. The collapse causes the material at the center of the cloud to heat up-and this hot core is the beginning of a star. 25 June 1975 BLACK DAY FOR INDIA (EMERGENCY)

25 June which is considered as black day for india. It was 25 June 1975 when Prime Minister Shri Indri Gandhi declared Emergency through radio in India. In India, "the Emergency" refers to a 21-month period from 1975 to 1977, Officially issued by President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed under Article 352 of the Constitution, the Emergency was in effect from 25 June 1975 until its withdrawal on 21 March 1977. The order bestowed upon the Prime Minister the authority to rule by decree, allowing elections to be suspended and civil liberties to be curbed. For much of the Emergency, most of Gandhi's political opponents were imprisoned and the press was censored. Several other human rights violations were reported from the time, including a forced mass-sterilization campaign spearheaded by Sanjay Gandhi, the Prime Minister's son. RESION BEHIND EMERGENCY On 12 June 1975, Justice Jagmohanlal Sinha of the Allahabad High Court found the prime minister guilty on the charge of...

SATURN MOONS MAY SUPPORT LIFE

Saturn, the sixth planet from the Sun, is home to a vast and unique satellites — 53 plus 9 awaiting official confirmation But its two satellites Enceladus and Titan are different in many aspects to all other satellites. Christiaan Huygens discoveed the first known moon of Saturn. The year was 1655 and the moon is Titan and Enceladus was discovered discovered by William Herschel in 1789. The condition of Enceladus and Titan appear right for supporting life, Cassini project scientist Linda Spilker said. ENCELADUS Using data from Cassini mission, scientists found that a global ocean lies beneath the icy crust of moon. Cassini observed warm fractures where evaporating ice evidently escapes and forms a huge cloud of water vapor over the south pole. In 2015 they shared results that suggest hydrothermal activity is taking place on the ocean floor. NASA believes with its global ocean and internal heat Enceladus may support life. TITAN At 5,150 kilometers (3,200 m...
