Bitcoin is a digital crypto currency, to manage this currency we require some devices known as Bitcoin wallet devices.
Bitcoin require secure and private devices to handle but scientists reveals under their study that all bitcoin devices have security weak spot.
Researchers at the University of Edinburgh in the UK carried out in depth security analysis of all popular models of Bitcoin wallet. They created a simple harmful software or malware, which was able to hack these wallets i.e. to intercept, messages between hardware wallets and also easy to access Bitcoin funds to divert into different accounts.
But on the bases of tests, researchers proposed a fix for improving the security of such systems. This would encrypt messages sent between Bitcoin wallets and computers, making them more secure. Their fix can secure every model of bitcoin hardware against hackers.
"A wallet should protect not our money, but also our privacy. It was surprising to discover how easy it is to access a user’s funds, even when sophisticated hardware is incorporated. Unfortunately, there is no silver bullet when it comes to protecting financial digital assets – we need to ensure that all components of the system are equally protected and interact in a secure way."
